This may be late notice, and I know I'm a-ways away from where TC Yasi is expected to make landfall tomorrow, but if you read this and find yourself in need of accommodation either during or after the cyclone hits, my door is open to you.
Whether you have a chance to read this, I don't know. I don't even know if you can make it down to Brisbane. But if you can, and you need somewhere to stay...email me: firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll do our best to make you comfortable.
To those of you who either cannot or will not leave, please be as safe as you can, and know that, if things turn out as badly as expected, there are millions who love you and will do what ever we can to support you and help you rebuild. We know you're a tough breed. But you can rely on us to help you take some of the weight. If real blessings exist, my hope is that they are spared for you.
(If you live in Brisbane and follow Bigmouthery or my Facebook/Twitter, and you know someone from up north who may benefit from reading this, please share the link. Thank you.)
P.S. For those of you around the world who may not have heard of Tropical Cyclone Yasi yet, here's a vivid superimposition of how large it is, relative to the size of various international regions.
