Last week, three young men who have come to be known as the West Memphis Three were set free after 18 years behind bars for the murder of three children. In 1993, they maintained their innocence. The courts found them guilty, sentencing two to life and one to death. On 19 August, after changing their pleas to guilty, they were conditionally released, time served. Sound odd? Read on.
