Election 2012: The Blackout and the Silver.

RCP

Imagine next Tuesday's (Wednesday Australian time) presidential election is a spacecraft that's been orbiting the planet for a year or so. Before it comes crashing back to Earth, it must pass through the ionosphere, that section of the 'sky' where communication with the ground is impossible because of solar radiation. In a sense, that's where we're at now. We can guess what's going on, we can hypothesize...we can keep listening to pundits and studying polls...but we don't know what exactly is going on and polls. Like the monitoring of a spacecraft, the best thing to do is merely sit tight and be patient. But this is an election, so no-one's gonna do that. Not even Bigmouthery.
